At the end of January, the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved the creation of the Information System “State Register in the Field of Construction.” This comprehensive and centralized platform will gather data on all activities and economic agents involved in construction and urban planning, ensuring no aspect is overlooked.
The Register will consolidate information related to design, verification, execution, reconstruction, capital repairs, conservation, demolition, and the production of construction materials. This data will be collected from various sources, including government agencies, construction companies, and certified personnel. It will also track details about certified personnel – such as engineers, architects, welders, and locksmiths – along with their competencies, certifications, and company roles. The system will ensure the accuracy and reliability of this data through a rigorous verification process.
In addition, the digital system will include data on financial and infrastructural resources, such as equipment, machinery, transportation units, company standards, instructions, and regulatory documents. The Register will also manage notifications regarding the registration or suspension of economic agents, changes in legal status, results of state inspections, and any sanctions or restrictions applied.
By implementing this system, the Government aims to modernize and streamline the construction sector, ultimately delivering tangible benefits for all citizens. The platform will ensure stricter quality control for construction works and provide fast, transparent access to essential information. At the same time, it will play a crucial role in enhancing safety and enforcing compliance with national construction standards, ensuring the quality and safety of all construction projects.
